Over 12,000 Flights Operated in Afghanistan in 2025
DID Press: Afghanistan saw more than 12,000 domestic and international flights operate from its airports in 2025, according to official reports.

The figures include both passenger and cargo flights and indicate a notable increase in aviation activity compared to previous years. Flights connected major cities as well as some remote regions, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve aviation infrastructure and expand airport capacity.
Officials from the Civil Aviation Authority said that despite security and technical challenges, flight operations have remained stable, with plans underway to modernize and develop airport facilities further.
The growth in air traffic is also expected to support economic development, facilitate passenger and cargo transport, and create employment opportunities in Afghanistan’s aviation sector.
