DID Press: In a rare and candid discussion on Voice of America, opposition analysts offered sharp criticism of US President Donald Trump’s approach to the conflict with Iran.

One analyst said, “It seems Trump has lost control of the situation, and the options he is pursuing to continue the war are not realistic.”
Another expert highlighted Iran’s strategic advantage, stating, “Iran holds the geopolitical upper hand, and the U.S. military can only claim on paper that it can reopen the Strait of Hormuz—not in reality.”
A third commentator, an Iranian opposed to the Islamic Republic, expressed concern about the human and economic consequences of potential U.S. actions: “I was deeply troubled by Trump’s statements and threats against Iran’s borders and energy resources, and I realized he is not acting for our freedom.”
These assessments signal growing skepticism among analysts regarding the feasibility and consequences of U.S. strategies in the region.
