Ishaq Dar: Operations in Afghanistan Part of Islamabad’s Counterterrorism Strategy
DID Press: Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that Islamabad is pursuing actions both inside and beyond its borders as part of its firm strategy to combat “terrorism,” and that “operations in Afghanistan” are a component of this broader security policy.

On Monday, coinciding with Pakistan’s National Day, Dar described the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army as “Hindu sedition” and “Kharijite sedition,” labeling both groups as serious threats to the country’s stability and security.
These statements come as the Taliban government and Pakistan, with mediation from Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, reached a temporary ceasefire for Eid al-Fitr. However, the Pakistani military emphasized that any sustained dialogue or agreement is contingent on the handover of TTP members to Islamabad.
The Taliban government, meanwhile, denied Pakistan’s accusations of supporting militants and stated that it is ready for talks to resolve disputes.
