Over 20,000 GPS Trackers Installed on Transport Vehicles Nationwide in One Year

DID Press: Ministry of Transport and Aviation announced that during 2025, GPS tracking devices were installed on more than 20,000 transport vehicles across the country.

According to ministry data, a total of 20,222 vehicles were equipped with tracking systems over the year. The initiative aims to improve transport management, increase operational transparency, and enhance passenger safety.

Officials emphasized that the installation program is ongoing. To date, approximately 40,000 passenger and cargo vehicles nationwide have been fitted with the system.

The ministry added that once fully implemented, the GPS network will enable more effective monitoring of vehicle movement, prevent violations, and improve route management.

The deployment of tracking devices is part of broader efforts to modernize the transport sector and provide better services to citizens.
