DID Press: Jetstar New Zealand has canceled several domestic and international flights to Australia due to a sharp surge in jet fuel prices, driven by ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

The airline stated that about 12% of its May flights are affected and apologized to passengers for the disruption. Cancelled routes include Auckland–Christchurch, Auckland–Wellington, and international flights to Sydney and Brisbane.
Jetstar emphasized that the cancellations are solely due to rising fuel costs and assured passengers that it is reviewing schedules and offering alternative options. The airline hopes market conditions stabilize soon to resume normal operations.
