EU Allocates €250,000 Humanitarian Aid for Afghan Quake Victims
DID Press: European Union has announced €250,000 in humanitarian assistance to support displaced and affected people following the recent earthquake in Afghanistan. This aid is expected to cover about 70,000 individuals in the provinces of Khost, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Paktika, and Paktia Province and will be distributed through the Afghan Red Crescent Society. Aid will include food, cash assistance, emergency shelter, safe water, and essential healthcare services.

The EU emphasized that it remains one of the largest humanitarian supporters in Afghanistan and allocated over €161 million in 2025 for partner aid organizations operating in the country.
