Uzbekistan, Stockholm Intl Water Institute Discuss Regional Water Resource Management

DID Press: Uzbekistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Ismatullah Irgashev, met with Martina Klems to discuss regional water resource management and outcomes of the “Tashkent Water Week” conference, in which an Afghan delegation led by the deputy minister of energy actively participated.

The two sides explored avenues for bilateral cooperation to enhance effective water management across the region, emphasizing the importance of leveraging shared expertise and fostering sustained collaboration.

They also agreed to maintain regular, constructive dialogues, including ongoing consultations and experience exchange, signaling a commitment to strengthen international cooperation in water governance and sustainable development in Central Asia.
