Talks Begin on Afghan Labor Deployment to Russia
DID Press: Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, confirmed that negotiations with the Taliban on employing Afghan workers are ongoing, though no final agreement has yet been reached.

The discussions aim to explore the possibility of utilizing Afghan labor in Russia, particularly in sectors such as agriculture. Kabulov emphasized that the Russian side is evaluating proposals under current immigration laws and economic considerations.
Meanwhile, Taliban ambassador to Russia, Gul Hasan, noted that talks focus especially on agricultural labor. Previous attempts to send Afghan workers to other countries, including the UAE and Qatar, have faced challenges, but ongoing discussions with Russia signal continued efforts to develop economic cooperation and expand Afghan labor opportunities abroad.
