UK Approves Resettlement for Nearly 1,000 Former Afghan Special Forces
DID Press: government of the United Kingdom has approved the resettlement of 884 former Afghan special forces personnel after reviewing previously rejected applications—offering renewed hope to elite units that once fought alongside British troops.

The decision followed a reassessment of cases involving forces known as the “Triples,” including the CF 333 and ATF 444 units. These individuals were initially denied under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), but their applications were re-evaluated after inconsistencies were identified in the earlier decision-making process.
British officials stated that applicants who successfully complete security screening and visa procedures will be granted permission to settle in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Luke Pollard described the delays in processing these cases as “concerning” and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting personnel who served alongside the British Army.
Many of these former forces, reportedly trained by British special operations units, participated in joint missions against the Taliban and other armed groups. Since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, numerous members have reported facing serious security threats due to their past cooperation with foreign forces.
