Afghanistan Records Over 28,000 Foreign Travelers in 2025

DID Press: National Statistics and Information Authority under the Taliban administration has announced that in the year 2025, more than 28,000 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan through the country’s land and air border crossings.

According to the data, 16,276 individuals entered the country, while 12,198 others departed. Of the total arrivals, 728 were women, and among those who left the country, 158 were women.

The report indicates that the majority of entries occurred through land border crossings, totaling 16,090 individuals, while a smaller number—182 people—entered via air routes.

Among those who entered Afghanistan, 2,369 individuals traveled to visit historical and archaeological sites, 115 arrived for educational purposes, and the remaining 13,792 entered the country for employment and economic activities.

The National Statistics and Information Authority emphasized that these figures reflect a growing trend in foreign arrivals and increasing interest in tourism, education, and job opportunities in Afghanistan.
