DID Press: Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for Russian Presidency, stated that the geographic scope of the conflict surrounding Iran has expanded, and tensions across the Middle East have significantly increased.
Referring to the regional situation, Peskov noted that, under current conditions, virtually the entire Middle East is engulfed in tension and crisis.
He emphasized that Russia had warned about the negative consequences of the conflict on the global economy prior to its outbreak, describing these effects as inevitable.
Peskov added that any aggression against Iran carries extremely dangerous repercussions and could have serious impacts on the world economy.
Regarding Donald Trump’s remarks on the Strait of Hormuz, the Kremlin spokesperson said Moscow is monitoring the comments but prefers not to provide a public statement on the matter.
