“True Promise 4” Operation: US Warship Reportedly Withdraws After Iranian Strikes

DID Press: Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that during the 98th wave of the operation known as “True Promise 4,” naval and aerospace units targeted a series of U.S. and Israeli command, operational, logistical, and military-industrial infrastructure sites across multiple locations in the region.

According to the statement, the first phase of the operation began with a cruise missile strike launched by the IRGC Navy against the container vessel SDN7, described as affiliated with Israel. The attack, the IRGC claimed, caused extensive destruction and a major fire aboard the ship.

The IRGC further stated that ballistic missiles struck strategic facilities north and south of Tel Aviv, installations in Haifa, chemical complexes in Beersheba, and positions hosting Israeli military forces in Petah Tikva with high precision.

In another phase of the operation, the U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7)—reportedly carrying more than 5,000 sailors and Marines—came under heavy fire from Iranian projectiles and, according to the statement, was forced to withdraw toward the deeper southern waters of the Indian Ocean following the attacks.

The report also indicated that a joint drone production facility allegedly linked to the United Arab Emirates and Israel, as well as several aircraft stationed at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, were targeted in drone and missile strikes.
