DID Press: Yair Lapid, leader of the Israeli opposition, acknowledged Netanyahu’s defeat in the war against Iran following the US-Iran agreement on a two-week ceasefire. He stated that “such a political disaster is unprecedented in the country’s history, and Israel was not even close to the decision-making table on its own national security.”
Lapid emphasized that the Israeli army carried out all tasks requested, and the public displayed remarkable resilience, yet Netanyahu failed politically and strategically, achieving none of the objectives he had set.
He added that repairing the political and strategic damage caused by Netanyahu’s pride, negligence, and lack of strategic planning will take years.
