Herat Governor Promises Accountability After Civilian Casualties

DID Press: Maulana Noor Ahmad Islamjar, governor of Herat, stated in response to a recent criminal incident that those responsible have been firmly identified and will soon be brought to justice under the law.

According to the governor, security institutions are pursuing the case with full determination, and the process of identifying and arresting suspects is being actively carried out. He stressed that there will be no leniency in dealing with the perpetrators of the crime.

Islamjar underscored the importance of justice, declaring: “The blood of none of our citizens will be wasted, and those responsible for this crime will face the consequences of their actions.”

Local authorities in Herat also assured that preventive measures have been implemented to avoid similar incidents and that the safety of residents remains a top priority.

The statement follows an armed attack in the Injil District that left dozens of civilians dead and injured.
