Iranian Delegation in Islamabad Reviews US Commitment Compliance

DID Press: Iranian delegation is scheduled to visit the Prime Minister’s Office in Pakistan today, where it will carry out a special mission to assess the extent of compliance by the United States with previously announced commitments.

The central focus of the meeting with Shehbaz Sharif is reported to be the issue of “non-implementation of certain commitments declared by the United States.”

According to the report, the United States had previously signaled—through Pakistan—its agreement to a set of Iranian preconditions, including the release of frozen assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon. However, some of these measures have not yet been implemented.

Today’s sessions in Islamabad are described as a “final assessment stage,” during which Tehran intends to evaluate the seriousness of the U.S. in fulfilling its commitments. A decision on whether to proceed with direct negotiations with Washington will reportedly be taken after this review.
