Iranian Delegation in Islamabad Presents 4 “Red Lines” to Pakistan

DID Press: During ongoing high-level discussions in Pakistan, the Iranian delegation led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has conveyed a set of firm positions and “red lines” of the Islamic Republic to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to field reports, Pakistani diplomats are now engaged in consultations to align the negotiation process with the principles outlined by Tehran.

The Iranian delegation, which also includes Abbas Araghchi, has held separate meetings with Pakistan’s prime minister and the speaker of parliament, presenting Iran’s proposed framework for continuing talks.

Iran’s four main red lines conveyed through the Pakistani mediators are reported as follows:

  1. Status and arrangements concerning the Strait of Hormuz
  2. Payment of war compensation and damages
  3. Release of Iran’s frozen assets
  4. A durable, tangible, and unconditional ceasefire across all relevant regions

Iran has also emphasized regional stability and support for its allies, calling for a comprehensive ceasefire across West Asia.
