DID Press: Foreign Minister of Pakistan emphasized the country’s continued role in supporting peace efforts and reducing tensions following recent negotiations between Iran and United States in Islamabad.

Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, referred to recent diplomatic activity in Islamabad and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to facilitating dialogue aimed at promoting peace and de-escalation between Iran and the United States.

In his remarks, Dar expressed appreciation for the participation of diplomatic delegations from Iran and the United States in the recent talks, describing the discussions as an important step toward strengthening diplomacy and resolving disputes through dialogue.

He stated that Pakistan remains prepared to use its diplomatic capacity to provide an appropriate platform for continued consultations and for bringing the positions of the two sides closer together.

Referring to several rounds of intensive negotiations held over the past 24 hours, Dar described the talks as “comprehensive and constructive,” adding that the continuation of this process could help reduce tensions and build mutual confidence between the parties.

Dar also expressed hope that Tehran and Washington would maintain a positive and realistic approach, continue along the current diplomatic path, and achieve tangible and sustainable outcomes.

The Pakistani foreign minister further stressed the importance of both sides adhering to agreements—particularly regarding ceasefire arrangements—describing compliance as a key factor in preventing escalation and promoting regional stability.

According to him, sustained commitments could pave the way for advancing negotiations to higher levels and achieving broader agreements in the future.
