UK Minister Voices Disappointment Over Lack of Progress in US–Iran Talks

DID Press: Wes Streeting, a senior government minister in United Kingdom, has expressed disappointment over the lack of progress in negotiations between the United States and Iran held in Islamabad.

Speaking in an interview with Sky News, the British Health Secretary said: “It is clear that the fact we have not yet achieved progress in negotiations and a permanent end to the war in Iran is disappointing.”

He noted the complex nature of diplomacy, adding: “In diplomacy, until you reach a result, you are effectively failing. Therefore, although these negotiations have not succeeded, that does not mean continued efforts are useless.”

The remarks come as diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and reaching a sustainable resolution continue despite the absence of a breakthrough in the latest round of talks.
