Taliban FM, Turkish Diplomat Discuss Urumqi Talks and Regional Developments

DID Press: Amir Khan Muttaqi, foreign minister of the Taliban administration, met with Sadin Ayyildiz, chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Turkey in Kabul, in Kabul. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and the negotiations recently held in Urumqi, China.

According to a statement issued by the Taliban Foreign Ministry, Muttaqi noted during the meeting that recent talks with the Pakistan side have so far been positive. He expressed hope that minor and technical issues would not create obstacles to further progress in the negotiation process.
