7th International Herat Security Dialogue Held in Herat

Herat governor M. Asif Rahimi commended the presence of academic and political elites in the home of Khaja Abdullah Ansari and Fakhr-e Razi. he appreciated the Institute of Strategic Studies of Afghanistan for preparing this international conference.


“the conference is being held for the seventh time in Herat while Tofan Harirod team won the country’s Premier League last night and gave a storm of happiness to the people as well as a new season was turned in the political status of the country by widespread presence of Herat residence in the parliamentary election,” Herat governor said.

Herat governor Rahimi thanked the unsparing efforts of the defence, security and intelligence forces as well as the Resolute Support troops in providing the security.
“we believe that the interests of the countries in the region and the world will be further met with the end of war and crisis in Afghanistan, and only the terrorist and Takfiri groups benefit from this crisis,” he stressed.

Therefore, we invite from the neighboring and involved countries to honestly help the people and government of Afghanistan in establishing peace in the country.
Herat governor mentioned the displacement crisis as well.
“I hope a rational and fundamental solution should be found for the social, economic, and security outcomes caused by displacement,” he continued.

Dr. Spanta, a former adviser to the National Security Council, meanwhile, said strengthening coexistence in the region contributes to the establishment of peace and the end of the war in Afghanistan.
“I hope all put the guns down and so that there would be an opportunity for peace in the country,” Mr Spanta added.
Addressing the event, the Special Representative of the Uzbek President for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev said Tashkent will continue its efforts to increase the annual trade volume between the two countries to $1 billion. He said this will be done by providing more facilities to Afghan investors.
