Sar-e Pul’s Sancharak District on Verge of Collapse

Naqibullah Daqiq, the district governor of Sar-e Pul’s Sancharak district confirmed it and told reporters on Monday that the two districts completely collapsed by Taliban after Khaja Surkh village fell to them earlier.
According to him, a defense line has now been created in the western and northern side, at a distance of one kilometer, of the district building.
Sources say that the district may collapse if there would be no help.
In a separate incident, Taliban stormed an outpost in Sough-bel area, the capital of Sar-e Pul province on Sunday night.
A security source under condition said that one soldier was killed and 10 others wounded during the incident.
“2 Taliban members were killed and 3 others wounded,” the source added.
Official sources have not yet commented.
Taliban fighters have launched widespread attacks in a number of Sar-e Pul districts after announced their spring operation.
