A huge explosion took place at 10:10 am (local time) on Thursday morning in PD- 9 of Kabul city, sending plumes smoke above the area.
The Interior Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said in a statement that 10 civilians were killed and 42 others were wounded during a car bomb attack in Shash Darak area of Kabul city.
“12 civilian vehicles were also destroyed in this terrorist attack,” he added.
Taliban in a statement claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack comes three days after the Taliban detonated a car bomb in Green Village of Kabul city, killing 16 people and injuring 119 others.
