In Response to Dr. Abdullah’s warnings against the IEC, the chief executive of Jamiat-e Islami party Ata M. Noor says that no one interested in coming out on the streets and it is not in our national interests to make the election process critical.
On Sunday afternoon, Dr. Abdullah warned the IEC that if it does not review its decision on the recounting process of the votes, the door will be open for their next steps.
Ata M. Noor, meanwhile, urged those, who themselves had a role in selecting the commissioners, not to discredit the election commissions among the people.
“We urge those, who want to make a crisis for their personal purposes, please do not play with the fate of the people and do not discredit the electoral commissions for the sake of your personal goals as you had a role in selecting the commissioners,” said Ata M. Noor.
“I urge the honorable and dignified people of Afghanistan not to listen to the personal words of a special candidate, who has been repeatedly tested. No one is interested in getting out on the streets and no one should have such a dream,” Mr Noor added.
The chief executive of Jamiat-e Islami called on the Ulema, elders, commanders and the dignified people of Afghanistan to stand against such a greedy person who turns to every means for survival and to put the people in the light as well.
It is worth mentioning that Abdullah Abdullah took a hard stance against the recounting process of votes by the IEC, warning that any choice on the table in this election.
