NSA Mohib, Khalilzad Insist on Seizing Opportunities in Peace process

Dr. Hamdullah Mohib discussed peace issues with US Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and Washington’s Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan Ross Wilson.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the security situation, recent peace progress and political developments in the country.
According to the statement, they emphasized on seizing the opportunities in the peace process and that the future measures should be directed well.

Afghanistan peace process has entered into a new phase with the signing of the US-Taliban peace deal and the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is expected to begin inter-Afghan talks with the Taliban soon.
