Iran’s Envoy Discusses Cooperation, Bilateral Relations with Mullah Baradar
Iranian President’s special envoy for Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi discussed bilateral relations and cooperation with Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, deputy prime minister of the Taliban government in Kabul on Tuesday.
Inamullah Samangani, Taliban deputy spokesman twitted that during the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of relations between the two countries and the establishment of joint cooperation committees in various fields.
Mullah Baradar considered the meeting an important opportunity for Afghanistan, stressing the need to establish good relations between the two neighbors while appreciating Iran’s hosting of the refugees.
The meeting also discussed political, educational, economic, financial, water and energy issues, public welfare, refugee affairs and the resumption of ongoing projects.
Iran’s Special Envoy on Afghanistan arrived in Kabul on Monday and met the Taliban leaders during his three-day visit.
