Amir Khan Muttaqi to Visit Islamabad for Security Talks and Bilateral Cooperation

DID Press: Following recent visits of Pakistan’s Foreign and Interior Ministers to Kabul, reliable sources reported that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of the Taliban government, is scheduled to visit Islamabad next Monday at the head of a high-level delegation.

According to the report, Muttaqi will meet with senior political and military officials in Pakistan, including the Prime Minister of the country. The discussions will focus on bilateral cooperation and regional security issues.

The visit comes at a time when tensions between Kabul and Islamabad have been rising in recent years, particularly due to Pakistan’s repeated claims about armed groups using Afghanistan soil to launch attacks against Pakistan.

It remains to be seen whether these diplomatic exchanges between the senior officials of both countries can help reduce tensions and improve bilateral relations
