Four Taliban Diplomats Traveled to Switzerland
DID Press: Four diplomats from the Taliban caretaker government traveled to Geneva to identify Afghanistani individuals convicted of crimes.

Swiss officials described the move as “sensitive but necessary” and said the issuance of travel documents is only possible with documents issued by the caretaker government.
During their stay, the Taliban delegation did not leave Geneva Airport, and the identification of many individuals was successful.
Switzerland had previously repatriated five convicted Afghanistan citizens, but changes in the caretaker government’s regulations now allow the acceptance of prisoners only with documents issued in Kabul.
