Iran Ready to Immediately Assist Afghanistan Quake Victims

DID Press: Following a powerful earthquake in eastern Afghanistan that killed and injured hundreds, Iran’s President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian sent a message of condolence to the Afghanistan government and people, emphasizing Tehran’s readiness to provide humanitarian aid.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the earthquake in eastern Afghanistan and the loss of many beloved lives. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery for the injured. The Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to provide any assistance, relief, and humanitarian aid to the affected areas,” said Pezeshkian in his message.

The Iranian president also underscored that Iran remains committed to supporting the people of Afghanistan, particularly during times of hardship and humanitarian crises, and will spare no effort to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
