UN Warns of Humanitarian Crisis in Afghanistan After Earthquake

DID Press: UN migration agency warned of severe humanitarian consequences following recent deadly earthquake in Afghanistan’s eastern provinces, reporting that thousands of people have been killed and thousands of families left homeless.

The agency stressed that with winter approaching, conditions for survivors – particularly in Kunar province – are increasingly alarming. It urged the international community to provide urgent assistance, including shelter, food, and medical services.
