Charlie Kirk, Trump and Israel Supporter, Shot Dead in Utah

DID Press: Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and student group Turning Point USA co-founder, was shot and killed while speaking at the University of Utah on Thursday night, U.S. media reported.

The gunman fled the scene and remains at large, according to New York Times. Authorities said a search is underway.

Kirk, 30, was a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump and a leading figure among young conservatives in “Make America Great Again” movement. He was widely followed on social media and known for his criticism of Democrats, immigration and U.S. minority groups.

Trump, in a statement, called Kirk’s death “a major loss for the Make America Great Again movement.” Conservative outlets praised him as a voice for a new generation of right-wing activists, while critics accused him of promoting divisive politics.
