UN Inquiry Committee: Israel Committed Genocide in Gaza

DID Press: United Nations inquiry committee has officially reported that Israel, in the course of its attacks on the Gaza Strip, has committed acts of genocide. The report, based on field evidence and statements from Israeli officials, highlights an apparent intent to collectively destroy the people of Gaza.

The UN inquiry committee, in its latest report, accuses Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The committee emphasized that a review of the available evidence—including public statements by senior Israeli officials and the behavioral patterns of the Israeli military—indicates that the actions fall within the framework of “genocide.”

Parts of the report state that “repeated statements by Israeli officials about the need to destroy Gaza, coupled with widespread and targeted attacks on civilians, demonstrate genocidal intent and an organized effort to annihilate an ethnic group.”

The inquiry committee also called on the international community to take immediate and effective measures, based on the findings of the report, to stop the killing of civilians and hold those responsible accountable.
