Washington Post Poll: 76% of Americans Say Trump Not Deserve Nobel Peace Prize

DID Press: Amid Donald Trump’s controversial speech at the UN General Assembly, a new poll shows that a large majority of Americans believe the president does not merit Nobel Peace Prize.

According to an online survey conducted by The Washington Post and Ipsos, 76% of U.S. adults said Trump does not deserve the award, while 22% disagreed.

The survey also revealed a divided opinion among Republicans: 49% supported awarding Trump the prize, and 49% opposed it. Among other groups, opposition was stronger, with only 14% of independents and 3% of Democrats considering him worthy.

The poll was released shortly after Trump’s UN speech, where he claimed to have ended “seven endless wars” and insisted that people consider him deserving the Nobel Peace Prize.
