Heavy Rain and Flood Warning for 17 Afghanistan Provinces
DID Press: National Disaster Management Authority of Afghanistan has issued a weather alert warning that 17 provinces across the country are expected to experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and possible flash floods.

In a statement released Sunday, the authority said that, according to meteorological forecasts, several central and mountainous provinces face a high risk of severe weather, including intense downpours and lightning.
Officials have urged residents in the affected regions to avoid riverbanks, steep mountain areas, and flood-prone zones, and to strictly follow safety instructions.
Rescue and local emergency response teams have been placed on standby to provide assistance in case of flooding or landslides.
The Meteorological Department also cautioned that unstable weather conditions are likely to persist in the coming days and advised people in vulnerable areas to remain alert to further warnings.
