Japan Warns Israel of Possible Sanctions over Unilateral Actions
DID Press: Japan’s Foreign Minister, Yoshimasa Iwaya, warned on Wednesday that Tokyo may consider punitive measures, including sanctions, against Israel if it continues actions undermining a two-state solution.

Speaking critically of Israel’s unilateral moves in the occupied territories, Iwaya called for an immediate halt to such actions and urged Tel Aviv to facilitate a durable ceasefire in Gaza.
He also emphasized the urgent need for the release of detainees and for unhindered humanitarian aid access to Gaza Strip, describing the humanitarian situation there as requiring an immediate international response.
