Pakistani Defense and Intelligence Chiefs Await Kabul’s Approval for Visit

DID Press: In the past 48 hours, several top Pakistani military and intelligence officials — including Minister of Defense, Director-General of inter-services Intelligence (ISI), and several senior generals — have visited Afghanistan embassy in Islamabad multiple times to request visas for travel to Kabul.

According to sources, the officials even submitted their passports as part of the visa process.

While the exact purpose and details of the planned visit remain unclear, observers link the move to the escalating border clashes and diplomatic tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan in recent days.

Analysts suggest that the visit, if approved, signal an effort to de-escalate military confrontation and restore communication channels between the two sides.
