Afghanistan Bans Transfer of Pakistani Casualties Without Taliban Leader’s Approval

DID Press: A senior Taliban military commander has ordered that no wounded or dead Pakistani soldiers be transferred from the border area without direct authorization from the group’s supreme leader, following recent clashes in Spin Boldak.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that the fighting in Spin Boldak erupted after Pakistani forces violated a ceasefire.

He added that a Taliban military official, in an audio message, instructed local units to halt any transfer of Pakistani casualties until further orders from the leadership.

The Taliban said it seeks peace and stability in the region but “will not remain silent in the face of aggression.” Pakistani authorities have not yet issued an official response.

Analysts warn the situation could deepen mistrust and fuel insecurity along the volatile Afghanistan–Pakistan border.
