Afghanistan Will Remain Neutral in India-Pakistan Conflicts, Says Taliban

DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has stated that Afghanistan will maintain a neutral stance in regional affairs and will not allow its territory to be used for attacks or provocations against neighboring countries.

In an interview with the Protom Alo newspaper, Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, emphasized that the caretaker government’s policy is based on dialogue and diplomacy, and no country has the right to use Afghan soil for hostile actions.

Responding to Pakistan’s claims that Afghanistan supports the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Qani said: “This allegation is entirely false and propagandistic.”

He added that over the past four years, Afghan territory has not been used against any other country, and the caretaker government has consistently sought to maintain positive relations with all neighboring countries and global powers.

Qani also claimed that ISIS bases in Afghanistan have been eliminated, and any anti-Taliban operations are being directed from Pakistan.

He reiterated Afghanistan’s neutral stance in regional conflicts, stating: “Afghanistan will not fight on behalf of India against Pakistan, or on behalf of Pakistan against India.”
