Female Suicide Bomber Attacks Pakistan FC in Nokkundi

DID Press: Pakistani security officials say a female suicide bomber targeted a Frontier Corps (FC) base in Nokkundi, located in Balochistan’s Chaghi district, on Sunday evening. The attack took place at around 8:40 p.m., according to Pakistani security authorities, who confirmed that the bomber was a woman.

Pakistani media reported that the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) released an image identifying the attacker as Zeenat Rafiq.

Three additional attackers were shot dead as they attempted to enter the compound, officials added. Pakistani Security forces later conducted a clearing operation inside the base. However, local residents reported hearing sporadic gunfire until Monday afternoon.

The incident is the latest in a series of militant strikes on Pakistani security forces in the insurgency-hit Balochistan region — and is notable for the rare use of a female suicide bomber.
