According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the drills focus on improving coordination, strengthening professional skills, and exchanging expertise in modern warfare. This marks the ninth iteration of the joint anti-terrorism exercises between the two close defense partners.

Senior military officials from both countries attended the opening ceremony, including General Bian Xiaoming, Deputy Chief of Staff of China’s Western Theater Command.
