Pak FM Holds Talks with Iran, Turkey on Regional Developments

DID Press: Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy PM and FM, held separate phone conversations on Sunday with the foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation and key regional developments.

According to a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar spoke with Sayed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, reviewing cooperation in areas including trade, regional connectivity, and people-to-people relations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening these ties and working jointly toward regional peace and development.

In a separate call with Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Pakistan’s FM discussed key aspects of Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relations. The discussion also covered current regional and international issues, particularly recent developments concerning Palestine and Gaza.

At the conclusion of these talks, all parties emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges. They also reiterated their commitment to promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region.
