DID Press: Rashid Khan, the global cricket star from Afghanistan, has revealed that the security situation in his country forces him to travel exclusively in armored vehicles, making it impossible for him to use ordinary cars.
He explained that even in the absence of a direct threat, the unpredictable security environment in Afghanistan makes such precautions necessary.
Rashid Khan, who has lived primarily in Dubai for several years, said: “It is simply not possible for me to go out in a normal car. The only option I have is an armored vehicle, and I always travel in one.”
Armored vehicles are not uncommon in Afghanistan and many people use them to protect themselves, he added.
These remarks highlight the stark contrast between his international lifestyle and the difficult realities inside Afghanistan, where even world-renowned athletes face serious security constraints and threats.
