China Discovers 100-M-Ton Oilfield in Bohai Sea

DID Press: China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on Wednesday that it has discovered a large oilfield in the Bohai Sea.

The field, known as “Qinhuangdao 29-6,” is a shallow-water oilfield with estimated reserves exceeding 100 million tons.

This discovery marks the seventh oilfield of its kind in the Bohai Sea and is considered China’s largest crude oil production base since 2019.
