Liberman: Netanyahu Trump’s “Submissive Dog,” Isolating Israel

DID Press: Avigdor Liberman, leader of the “Yisrael Beiteinu” party, launched an unprecedented attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him a “submissive dog to Trump” and warning that Israel, due to this allegiance, is on the brink of a political catastrophe.

In a speech at Reichman University, Liberman criticized Netanyahu for abandoning the traditional Israeli policy of balancing relations between the two main U.S. political parties. Liberman claimed this shift has turned Israel into a “tamed tool” in the hands of Donald Trump, undermining Israel’s political independence.

Liberman emphasized that this situation has led to Israel being unprecedentedly isolated on the global stage. He noted, “For the first time since 1967, we have been marginalized more than the Palestinians.”

He added that the current political and security structure of Israel is steering the country toward a crisis, the risks of which, he argued, are no less than those of the October 7th events.

Liberman concluded: “Never before have we been this isolated globally and in Washington, and Netanyahu has effectively become a hostage to U.S. policies.”
