Taliban Warn Pakistan: Kabul Ready to Respond any Military Action
DID Press: Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid issued a sharp response to recent threats from Pakistan, dismissing remarks by Pakistani officials about possible military action against Afghanistan as unconstructive. He stressed Kabul is prepared to defend its territory.

Mujahid said such statements do not reflect a constructive or official approach to bilateral relations, adding the Taliban seek ties with neighbors based on mutual respect and do not view escalation as serving either side’s interests. “We will not initiate any conflict,” he said, “but if any military action is taken, we will defend the country’s territorial integrity.”
His comments come amid rising tensions between Kabul and Islamabad in recent weeks. Pakistani officials have warned about what they describe as the presence and activity of anti-Pakistan armed groups operating from Afghanistan territory. The Taliban rejected these allegations, reiterating that they will not allow Afghanistan soil to be used against any country.
Political analysts say the exchange of warnings underscores the fragility of Pakistan–Taliban relations and the risk of miscalculation along the border. Observers emphasize the need to strengthen diplomatic and security channels to prevent further escalation, arguing that sustained dialogue remains the most viable path to managing disputes and avoiding potential clashes.
