DID Press: Economic Deputy Office of the Taliban PM’s Office has announced that more than 1,500 new telecommunications sites have been established over the past four years across 30 districts, highways, and border areas of the country.

According to the statement, 300 of these sites were constructed by the Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA), while 12 others were built by private telecommunications companies.
Each site reportedly cost around 8 million Afghanis to construct. The initiative aims to expand public access to telecommunications services and strengthen network coverage in remote and underserved areas.
