Int’l Human Rights Foundation Highlights Civilian Harm in Border Areas
DID Press: International Human Rights Foundation has reported that attacks using heavy weapons and mortar fire by Pakistan on residential areas along the Durand Line have caused harm to civilians in Paktika, Khost, and Kunar provinces.

According to the report, at least 17 civilians, including women and children, were injured, and several families were forced to evacuate their homes. Significant material damage was also inflicted on houses and agricultural lands in the affected areas.
The organization emphasized that under international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, attacks on civilian areas may constitute war crimes.
The report calls on Pakistani forces to immediately halt attacks on residential zones and urges the United Nations and human rights bodies to investigate these incidents.
