War Pressures Push Trump Toward Major Cabinet Reshuffle

DID Press: According to a report by Reuters, Donald Trump is considering a broad reshuffle within his cabinet, a move driven by mounting political pressure stemming from the war with Iran and growing domestic protests across the United States.

Five sources familiar with internal White House deliberations told the agency that discussions about further personnel changes intensified following the dismissal of the Attorney General, signaling deeper instability at the senior leadership level.

According to these sources, the weeks-long conflict with Iran has imposed significant economic costs, contributed to rising fuel prices, and led to declining public approval of the administration. At the same time, concerns among members of the Republican Party regarding upcoming midterm elections have further increased pressure on the White House.

Within the administration, some of Trump’s advisers believe that changes in the leadership team could help reset the government’s political messaging and reduce public criticism. However, no final decision has yet been made regarding the scope of the reshuffle, and it remains unclear which officials may be targeted next.

Internal sources indicated that Trump is dissatisfied with the performance of several cabinet members, particularly following his recent speech on the Iran war, which failed to reassure the public. Instead of building confidence, the address heightened concerns about the absence of a clear strategy for ending the conflict and managing its economic consequences.

Despite these frustrations, official White House representatives continue to emphasize the president’s support for his team. Nevertheless, some insiders have suggested the possibility of “targeted changes,” involving the replacement of several key figures without a complete overhaul of the cabinet.

At the societal level, the continuation of the war with Iran has triggered a new wave of nationwide protests in the United States. During Trump’s first year in office, this marks the third round of large-scale demonstrations, with approximately seven million people taking to the streets across multiple states during the second wave.

Reuters concluded that the consequences of the Iran conflict are no longer confined to the military sphere but are now reshaping the domestic political landscape of the United States, potentially leading to significant shifts in the balance of power within the Trump administration.
