DID Press: Amid rising tensions across West Asia, a series of missile strikes, drone attacks, and explosions were reported overnight and into this morning across multiple countries in the region. At the same time, the United States government has restricted the release of satellite imagery from conflict zones, with Planet Labs announcing that, at the request of U.S. President Donald Trump, the provision of satellite images from war zones will be suspended until the end of hostilities. The move has been interpreted by some observers as an effort by the Trump administration to conceal military setbacks and operational limitations of U.S. forces against Iran and allied groups.

In Israel, Hebrew-language media reported that following a missile strike in Haifa, in addition to ten injured individuals—one in critical condition—the bodies of two people were recovered from the rubble of a destroyed building. Four others remain missing, and search operations are ongoing. Channel 12 also reported that at least ten cluster-warhead missiles were fired toward Tel Aviv in several waves.
In the United Arab Emirates, a large fire broke out at Khor Fakkan Port following a drone strike, while local sources reported hearing explosions in several other locations across the country.
In Iraq, multiple explosions were reported in Baghdad, Duhok, and Erbil. Bases used by U.S. forces in Baghdad and Erbil were targeted by drone attacks, and fuel storage facilities and military aircraft at Victory Base Complex were reported to have caught fire.
In Syria, the U.S. base in al-Hasakah was targeted by a drone strike. At the same time, headquarters of certain Kurdish opposition parties to Iran in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah were also hit, with images showing smoke and fires in those areas.
Inside Iran, a spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that several U.S. aircraft entering Iranian airspace for a pilot rescue mission were struck by air defense fire and, after making emergency landings, were destroyed by U.S. forces themselves.
Regionally, reports have indicated that Hezbollah possesses the capability to launch up to 200 missiles and drones daily.
On the international stage, demonstrations were held in Japan protesting U.S. and Israeli attacks, while the Prime Minister of Malaysia announced that his country stands alongside Iran in the conflict.
Taken together, these developments suggest that the scope of hostilities has expanded from Haifa and Tel Aviv to Baghdad, Erbil, al-Hasakah, and the coastal regions of the UAE. With the U.S. government restricting the release of satellite imagery from conflict zones, concerns are growing about the true scale of damage and the broader consequences of the escalating conflict.
