Hekmatyar: Political Situation Will Worsen Without Public Mandate
DID Press: Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has warned that ignoring the will and vote of the people could lead to a deterioration of Afghanistan’s political situation, in remarks widely seen as an indirect reference to the current authorities.

Hekmatyar criticized the present conditions in Afghanistan, stating that the current governance system is not acceptable for any Afghan. He emphasized that there is a broad public desire for “immediate and positive change” in the country’s political structure and administration.
The Hezb-e-Islami leader further stressed the importance of public participation in determining the country’s political future, warning that ignoring popular will could have serious consequences.
His comments come amid ongoing political, economic, and social challenges in Afghanistan, where debates over the future political system and public participation remain unresolved.
