Hungary’s PM-Elect Says Netanyahu Would Be Arrested if He Enters Hungary
DID Press: Peter Magyar, Hungary’s prime minister-elect, announced that the incoming government will halt plans to withdraw from the International Criminal Court and remain committed to its international obligations.

Speaking at a press conference in Budapest, Magyar said the future government would adopt a new policy toward the court, under which individuals wanted by the ICC would be arrested if they enter Hungarian territory.
He added that this position had been communicated “clearly” to Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently sought by the court on allegations of war crimes.
Magyar, who achieved a significant victory in elections earlier this month, is expected to end 16 years of rule by Viktor Orbán. He emphasized that the new administration would respect international law and global institutions.
Orbán had announced last year his intention to withdraw Hungary from the International Criminal Court.
